CHIROPRACTIC CONDITIONS & TREATMENT

The Central Nervous System controls and coordinates every function in the body" -Gray's Anatomy ch.29

Chiropractic was discovered when a joint adjustment restored a deaf man's hearing. By properly aligning the spine and allowing the nervous system to work without spinal interference, every organ, muscle, and tissue will perform optimally.

Phases of Care

RELIEF CARE

Treatment of acute pain and/or symptoms. Physical Therapy modalities such as ice, pulsed ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation and gentle joint mobilization are utilized. During relief care your treatments are generally more frequent, usually between 3-6 times per week for 1 to 3 weeks.

CORRECTIVE CARE

Initiated once your symptoms have been partially relieved. This phase will focus on the cause of your pain and/or symptoms. Joint manipulation and Physical Therapy modalities such as contrast therapy (ice/heat), continuous ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation, and rehabilitative exercises are initiated. During corrective care your progression is dependent upon your commitment to rehabilitate your condition. Treatment generally is between 1-3 visits/wk for 2-4 weeks.

MAINTENANCE CARE
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"

At this point you have invested much time and effort into returning yourself to a healthy state. Periodic check-ups are recommended to screen for minor muscle spasms so they do not turn into severe muscle spasms and cause your condition to return. Maintenance care is generally 1 visit every 1-2 months. If your care exceeds the maximum amount of visits that your insurance coverage allows, a budget plan can be worked out for your individual needs.
